Fortification - Scottish agate earrings

Stones are approx 10mm diameter and 15mm tall including bail. They hang on 18mm 14k gold filled ear wires.

Your earrings have copper components. This may include the hooks and setting. All copper parts have been given 3 coats of wax and polished to seal the surface and protect them from tarnishing. This also helps to prevent the acids in your skin from reacting with the copper which can in some people turn the skin green.
